Spectra outlines vision for training

Spectra, the Cheshire-based safety, human resource and compliance consultancy business has outlined its vision for training which includes the opportunity for many new businesses to train in management and safety courses completely free of charge.

It’s been a busy time for Spectra, already this year they have achieved CPD certification for ten of its most popular HR and Health & Safety courses and opened a brand-new training room at its head office in Altrincham.

Stuart Beaumont, Director, explains, “2019 marks our tenth year in business and we decided that we wanted to do something special. We work with organisations of all shapes and sizes and the one thing that crops up time and time again is the requirement for short, practical and industry-specific training… As a result of this we’ve invested in our training courses and made it our mission to create 500 Safety Champions and 500 HR Heroes in the next five years.”

From a standing start it’s a big commitment but Spectra believes that the investment it has made in its new training room and course accreditation demonstrates its commitment to the cause.

Employers looking to work with Spectra will be granted one free place on the company’s newly accredited training.

Beaumont continues, “operating in the knowledge economy means that you have to demonstrate you know what you are talking about, and we thought, why can’t we share what we know, if people like us and what we have to say they’ll come back to us. It is as simple as that. It’s about making workplaces safer and legally compliant.”

One of the first delegates to go through the newly accredited training was Gareth Hewitt from Hopewiser, experts in address management software and data cleansing, Gareth said, “I enjoyed the Managing Grievances and Conflict course at Spectra. The staff, Alison and Amrita, were friendly and welcoming. Their office and facilities were nice. The course has helped to reinforce the little knowledge I already had about the subject area due to being new to managing people.”

Courses range from a general introduction to HR to specific technical training in the construction sector.

Spectra will also be hosting a monthly drop-in HR Healthcheck where employers can book a free 30-minute appointment with one of the company’s HR consultants to discuss their pressing people challenges.

Courses are can be found at http://spectra.eventbrite.com/ to obtain one free place please contact matthew.lowe@thespectragroup.co.uk
